The newly introduced capability allows a single MD8430A to simulate three contiguous baseband LTE cells on a single RF carrier. With two MD8430A simulators in a master/slave configuration, higher-order MIMO can be offered to more aggregated carriers than other solutions on the market. Cells can be deployed in any licensed or unlicensed band using the newly introduced RF capability to cover 350 MHz to 6 GHz.
The MD8430A is a scalable LTE network simulator, with four models ranging from the Functional Test Mode (FTM) to the Enhanced Test Model (ETM), and LTE FDD and TDD software options available for each model. The Rapid Test Designer (RTD) graphical test software environment enables rapid test scripting and debugging with full automation and an intuitive user interface, as well as dedicated Layer 3 and lower-layer libraries for maximum flexibility. The simulation of three cells simultaneously on a single RF is now available with the recent introduction of the MD8430A-004, and coverage from 350 MHz to 6 GHz is now available with the recent introduction of the MD8430A-006.
