With this field implementation of WLAN Offload, ITRI and Anritsu hope to provide a much-needed testing environment for testing WLAN Offload features for Taiwanese Wi-Fi® device manufacturers and smartphone manufacturers, helping them develop 4G devices and traffic offloading products in accordance with international standards.
The Anritsu MD8475A Signalling Tester base station simulator supports ITRI, enabling you to successfully implement WLAN Offload with two types of offloading access (reliable/unreliable) as defined by 3GPP. This allows you to connect and test dual-mode LTE/Wi-Fi Wi-Fi access points (APs)/controllers and user equipment (UEs). This validates dual-mode Wi-Fi APs/controllers and LTE/Wi-Fi UEs under test, ensuring accurate compliance with 3GPP-defined traffic offloading functions and further accelerating product development and validation.
The Anritsu MD8475A Signalling Tester is a reliable and powerful all-in-one base station simulator that supports all necessary wireless standards and offers extensive support for 3GPP-compliant traffic offloading testing between different Wi-Fi access points and UEs. The MD8475A Signalling Tester also includes SmartStudio, an easy-to-use graphical interface software that allows for simple call parameter editing and the easy creation and execution of fully automated test sequences.
