Users of an R&S FSV signal and spectrum analyzer and an R&S SMBV100A or R&S SGT100A vector signal generator can bring field environments into their laboratories thanks to the R&S IQW100. Typical applications for the R&S IQW100 include mobile phone signals, EME, GNSS, and radio or TV transmission.
Users can record signals acquired with the analyzer in any selected environment and then play them back with the generator. The signals acquired with the analyzer are transferred to the R&S IQW100 via the standard digital I/Q interface and stored as I/Q data. To retrieve the recorded signal, the data is sent back to the signal generator via the same standard Rohde & Schwarz digital I/Q interface. Signals with a maximum bandwidth of 160 MHz and a sampling rate of up to 200 MS/s are recorded. The instruments are suitable for all WLAN/Wi-Fi signals and all current commercial mobile telephony standards.
The device can also be used with the high-end R&S FSW signal and spectrum analyzer and the R&S SMW200A vector signal generator. In addition to the standard Rohde & Schwarz digital I/Q interface, the R&S IQW100 also includes the R&S HS DIG IQ interface, a high-speed interface supported by the high-end analyzer and generator. These high-end instruments offer a maximum bandwidth of 200 MHz and a sampling rate of up to 250 MS/s.
Both the R&S IQW and the R&S IQW100 are controlled via LAN by entering SCPI commands or through a web-based GUI that adapts to the screen size. Optionally, they can be operated using the 5.7" TFT touchscreen or by connecting a keyboard and mouse.
