mobile-interference-finder-WUsing open-source planning software, arrows are placed on the map to guide the controller toward the source of interference. Voice prompts complement the arrows, making it easy for a single person to operate. Its compatibility with commercially available, non-proprietary antennas allows the scanning system to function across the entire frequency range of the system's portable spectrum analyzer, including the 9 kHz to 43 GHz coverage of the MS2720T Spectrum Master™.

The interference scanning algorithms in the Mobile InterferenceHunter™ software (MX280007A) use channel power measurements to facilitate the scanning of various signal types, from broadband modulated signals to narrowband or CW sources. Users can easily configure the channel power bandwidth for appropriate settings for the interference signal. Channel power measurements also allow for tracking signals whose frequency drifts over time.

For hidden signals in LTE uplink bands, the mobile interference scanning system uses a "min hold" algorithm to capture the interference signal and removes the LTE traffic signal from the measurement. To locate pulse signals, a "max hold" algorithm captures intermittent signals only when they are transmitting, thus eliminating the possibility of erroneously measuring a pulse signal when it is not active.

The mobile interference scanning system incorporates a multi-emitter mode, ideal for locating multiple leakage sources, such as television signals. Furthermore, the full-screen Spectrum View allows for easier examination and analysis of spectrum trace data. The solution also has the ability to capture and store interference scan log files for later playback and analysis, and can recall various software/analyzer settings for use in future scans. Operation is further simplified by a powerful help menu.

Anritsu's innovative Burst Detect mode can be used within the mobile interference scanning solution to locate extremely fast pulse signals. Utilizing FFT technology, Burst Detect allows the handheld spectrum analyzer to capture and process intermittent signals at receiver speeds.

The Mobile Interference Scanning System is designed for Anritsu's Spectrum Master, Site Master™, BTS Master™, Cell Master™, or LMR Master™ portable analyzers. An internal GPS receiver is required in the spectrum analyzer. No firmware updates are necessary.
