Help Flash IoT's V16 beacons emit a flashing light visible in all directions from over a kilometer away. SEIDOR, for its part, has developed the infrastructure that allows the beacon to connect to the DGT 3.0 network—a cloud service still in the testing phase—making it valid from 2026 onwards. Thanks to this feature, in case of emergency, the system displays the vehicle's exact location and sends an alert to the DGT control center and the relevant authority.
“They can already be used, and in 2026 it will be mandatory to replace the triangles with the V16 beacon. This project puts Spain at the forefront of real-world implementations in road safety,” says Carlos Polo, Business Development Director at SEIDOR Innovation & Venture. “We are laying the groundwork for data management in the field of connected mobility and, more importantly, for intelligent and coordinated data exchange that will help save a significant number of lives on the road.”.
