“Once the modem is connected to the control panel, the user can remotely open and close doors with Nice solutions. Using the MyNice Welcome App on your smartphone, you can see the updated automation status at all times. You can check the status of your door in real time, whether it's 100 meters from your house or on another continent,” explains Enrique Fernandez, General Manager of Nice Spain.
With the Nice IT4WIFI module, we can set a schedule. If we want our production facility to open its gate every day at 7:00 am and close it at 6:00 pm, it only takes a few seconds to configure this scenario in the MyNice Welcome App. As the administrator, we can grant permissions to as many users as needed to remotely open and close the gate or barrier. The MyNice Welcome App is available for iOS and Android and is compatible with Apple HomeKit.
“Nice IT4WIFI is the first Nice product fully compatible with Apple’s HomeKit system,” adds Fernandez. “If the device is compatible with this program, the iPhone or iPad takes on the role of a home control center. Thanks to HomeKit compatibility, we can control our Nice automation using voice commands through the Siri virtual assistant,” he explains.
Another interesting extension we can use when using IT4WIFI at home is its integration with the IFTTT.com platform. Through this portal, we can create synergies with the devices we use in our home, even those from different manufacturers (provided the manufacturer guarantees compatibility with IFTTT).
Using a mobile app, we add a series of features that must be fulfilled step by step for our unit to perform the required action. This way, we can customize the gate motor's recognition function, for example, to achieve a geolocation effect. As soon as we appear with our phone in a specific area, the gate or barrier automatically recognizes us and executes an appropriate command (for example, opening the gate when we are within a specific distance). Furthermore, the use of IFTTT offers extensive communication possibilities. If you want to receive email or text message notifications about the platform's status, you can access all these features thanks to IFTTT compatibility.
