Continuing its international expansion, Kerlink will supply several hundred gateways for the rollout, which will begin immediately in Buenos Aires and Rosario and provide nationwide coverage by July 2018. This gateway deployment stems from a successful pilot project launched earlier this year. The rapidly growing company will supply its Wirnet iBTS Compact stations in the local ISM band (923 MHz). Kerlink has already installed more than 8,500 of these versatile, long-range, bidirectional, geolocation gateways for IoT network operators in Europe and South Asia.

ICondor is a renowned and innovative telecommunications company with experience throughout Latin America. It created what is now the Movistar Network (MOVICOM), which operates in Spain and 13 countries in Central and South America. ICondor also launched CTI Movil, now América Móvil, a leading provider of integrated telecommunications services in Latin America. Headquartered in Buenos Aires, ICondor plans to deploy LoRaWAN IoT networks throughout South America following its initial rollout in Argentina.

network , and the selection of Kerlink gateways confirms their modular flexibility, reliability, and geolocation capabilities based on Semtech’s reference design, as well as their ability to combine both LoRaWAN for data collection and 4G networks for backhaul,” said William Gouesbet, CEO of Kerlink. “This collaboration with one of South America’s leading telecommunications companies significantly expands our international presence, in line with our development strategy and our goal of becoming a leading global provider of IoT network equipment, solutions, and services.”

“Kerlink is one of the first M2M technology companies to offer low-power, long-distance connectivity, providing easy-to-install infrastructure solutions that enable billions of devices to communicate, improving profitability and scalability across multiple verticals. This gives them strong market leadership and experience,” commented Martin Rajman, CEO of YEAP! “Many Argentine companies and cities are waiting for versatile, secure, high-quality, and high-performance IoT technology to support applications in critical B2B and B2C markets. These include asset tracking, smart cities, logistics and smart agriculture, as well as insurance, pet monitoring, and home automation. YEAP!’s LoRaWAN , supported by Kerlink gateways, will provide that support and enable connectivity for millions of end devices.”

Gouesbet also noted that the partnership with ICondor highlights the LoRa Alliance's ability not only to supply the technology, equipment, and services that enable the rapid expansion of the LoRaWAN across any continent, but also to combine critical components and services. These include dedicated sensor design and application development environments offered by an alliance of over 500 members.

"The partnership with ICondor confirms that the LoRa Alliance TM is a dynamic ecosystem capable of bringing together all the necessary components and knowledge for rapid implementations aimed at mobile network operators, smart cities or companies that decide to launch and operate a dedicated IoT network," says the CEO of Kerlink.

Both companies are members of the LoRa Alliance . Kerlink is a founding member and sits on its board of directors. As part of its international expansion strategy, Kerlink strengthened its local representation and distribution channel to cover all of Latin America, with a local presence for sales, deployment, and customer support.
