"The laborious process of manually checking water supplies for livestock and other farm assets can be prohibitively expensive. NeoMesh offers a cost-effective, low-consumption solution perfectly suited to the scale of Australian farms." says Luke Mitchell, CEO of farmIT.
The farmIT system uses NeoCortec long-range radio modules integrated with sensors at each irrigation point, efficiently channeling data to a central concentrator. This data is then transmitted to the cloud via an existing internet connection, completely eliminating the need for an expensive communications network. Remarkably, the sensors operate on just two AA batteries for up to five years, and the mesh network allows for coverage of virtually unlimited distances.

farmIT sensor on water trough 300dpiWith its long-range radio modules, farmIT can achieve a range of up to five kilometers with a clear line of sight. And if, for any reason, the range to the next node is insufficient, simply placing a repeater station in between extends the range.
But farmIT's sensor solutions monitor not only livestock watering troughs, but also containment gates, water tanks, diesel tanks, rainfall, soil temperature, and more.
