Rica Lewis sells over 5 million pairs of jeans annually and has invested in TAGSYS RFID technology to boost sales and enhance the customer experience through improved product availability. Each Rica Lewis sales manager is equipped with handheld RFID readers, allowing them to quickly inventory RFID items directly on the retail floor. Initial results have shown that the time required for the previous manual inventory process has been reduced by over 80%, freeing up sales managers for higher-value activities such as merchandising and customer interaction. Upon completion of the inventory process, the collected RFID data is sent to the logistics center, which is also equipped with an RFID infrastructure, enabling a much more efficient order picking and shipping process. With the use of RFID, the supply chain is optimized to improve process management in the distribution center and offer greater product availability at the point of sale.
The Tagsys RFID infrastructure for Rica Lewis printing includes UHF RFID tags attached to existing garment labels, RFID printers for programming and printing data, RFID tunnels for fast and accurate control of incoming and outgoing goods, handheld RFID readers for rapid inventory management, and fixed RFID stations for order picking and verification.
