The internal, and therefore invisible, hinge can be positioned on either the left or right side of the frame. To attach the door or hatch to the frame, the door assembly is placed onto the sliding plastic discs on the frame piece. Then, simply push it horizontally toward the hinge pin until the door piece clicks audibly into place. This click-in mechanism distinguishes this new hinge from conventional ones. The hinge pin is firmly installed in the frame piece and therefore does not need to be moved up or down. The guide automatically moves the assembly into the correct position.
With light pressure against the door, the hinge components lock and securely connect to the frame. No tools are required, and the door does not need to be closed. As soon as the door is opened, a secure connection is established between the door and the frame. The door or hatch can be removed just as easily. Simply pull the latch on the door assembly to unlock it. In this open position, there is no need to hold the latch down, as it locks into place. The other hinges can then be opened one after the other in the same way. The door or hatch can then be removed quickly and easily. The new 125 clip hinge has been tested for shock and vibration according to DIN EN 61373 Cat. 1B and has been successfully tested in continuous operation.
