Multipoint locking systems are an effective solution to this problem, as multiple rotating locks can apply consistent force across the entire panel, preventing warping and leaks. However, complications often arise because the locks must be attached to an actuator using a single cable-drive mechanism. This limits where designers can position their actuator or requires adding extra hardware to the design.
Southco's AC-50 multi-point pressure puller solves these problems with mounting brackets that integrate symmetrical cable channels and cast aluminum levers capable of withstanding high preloads. These levers are paired with cable barrels, eliminating the need for additional clamps. Designers can freely mount this actuator in their application and use the two cables it accommodates to operate a multi-point locking system across the entire panel with minimal additional hardware. The actuator can be attached to tubular structures or round surfaces using a surface mount with a through-hole.
