This is the basis of Nicomatic's patent, and the contacts can pierce cable materials including polyester, FR4, polyimide, PTFE, and others. The contacts are available in 1.27 mm and 2.54 mm pitches, in male, male solder tab, and female versions to meet most requirements. The female contacts are selectively gold-plated or tin-plated and are available in three versions: Hi-Flex; low insertion force; and high insertion force. The operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +150°C. 

CrimpFlex™ housings, UL94V-0 rated, are made of glass fiber-filled thermoplastic, making them highly durable. They can be configured as single- or double-row devices offering 2-50 vias (2.54 mm pitch) and 4-100 vias (1.27 mm pitch). Many variants are available, including polarized locking, high-density, and right-angle versions. They are compatible not only with Nicomatic's range of PCB headers but also with commonly available 0.635 mm standard products.
