These flexible printed circuit boards, ideal for aerospace, motorsports, satellite, and defense applications, offer engineers low-profile interconnect solutions. This allows system boards to be stacked much closer together. Thanks to their right-angle connections, these components can be installed at the board's periphery for improved thermal management and connectivity.

The Datamate J-Tek option, consisting of a 2 mm pitch connector and a flexible PCB rated at 1 A with a 1 mm pitch, is supplied in a single-termination design incorporating a male connector. The Gecko options feature a 1.25 mm pitch connector and a flexible PCB rated at 0.4 A with a 0.5 mm pitch, available in single- or double-termination configurations. Standard 10-pin models are in stock, while other versions are available upon request.

These flexible printed circuit boards (PCBs) feature a copper-covered base bonded to a coating. A rigid surface at each end facilitates connector mounting. They can withstand a much larger bend radius than conventional cables and are also better suited for dynamic movement when bent. Thanks to their innovative 4-terminal design using beryllium-copper contacts, they exhibit greater resistance to shocks (up to 100 G) and vibration forces (up to 20 G) without signal interruption. The addition of stainless steel screw locks to Datamate connectors and robust locks to Gecko connectors ensures interconnect integrity. Harwin's flexible PCBs have the same operating temperature range as their corresponding connectors: up to 65°C to +150°C. The free ends of the flexible PCB are compatible with standard FPC/FFC connectors that accept circuits up to 0.3 mm thick.
