Gecko-SL wiring systems, available in single and double termination configurations, fully comply with the established IPC-620 standard for cables and cable harnesses and are suitable for cable-to-cable or cable-to-board solutions. Each cable is constructed with PTFE, has a diameter of 26AWG, and is supplied in lengths of 150/300/450 mm (6/12/18 inches). These wiring systems are fully compatible with existing metal brackets to enhance their mechanical strength and EMC resistance. Thanks to their hexagonal screws and pre-locking connection mechanism, these robust wiring systems can be installed quickly, especially in space-constrained environments. They leverage the inherent resistance of Gecko-SL connectors to high levels of shock/vibration and extreme temperatures, as well as their ability to carry a relatively high current (2A per contact despite their narrow pitch).

Customers can choose between 6-pin and 50-pin configurations for their wiring systems, available from stock through Harwin and the company's worldwide distributor network. This means no lead times and no delays to final system production. The necessary mounting hardware is supplied either directly or as part of the mounting kit.

All cabling systems have undergone 100% continuity testing, significantly streamlining the system integration process and saving customers time and effort. Evaluation samples of the cabling systems are also available upon request.

“We’ve seen widespread acceptance of our Datamate-based ready-to-use wiring systems and received numerous positive comments about their ease of use, so it was a logical step to extend this capability to other Harwin connectors,” explains John Brunt, Harwin’s Director of High Reliability Products. “Gecko-SL is the preferred high-reliability connector when performing multiple connection operations. These wiring systems allow us to better meet a broader range of customer needs, enabling them to find the optimal solution.”.
