The Intercontec Speedtec M12 solution has been designed for small servomotors. The new M12 single-cable connection solution is equipped with "rotating angle receptacles" (angled motor connectors with individually adjustable cable exit directions).
The safety locking mechanism of the speedtec quick-connect system features 360° EMC protection, a robust metal housing with grounding, and low grounding contact resistance. This eliminates the need for a protective ground contact on the motor housing while ensuring full compliance with regulations.
The system will be available in a field-mount version and is designed for use with Sub-D contacts, which can be used in machines with variable locking, various pin counts, contact types, and a wide range of cable clamps. The system will initially be available in 6-pin (5+PE) and 8-pin (3+PE+4) configurations. Plans are underway for a "4.tec" assembly concept design that can be automated.
