The new cable reel doesn't require a manifold, so bus cables and pneumatic and hydraulic hoses can also be routed without interruption. For quick assembly, igus uses a serpentine guide into which the cable or hose is inserted. The guide is then inserted into the outer housing of the e-spool flex in a few short and simple steps. This means the cables can move freely and flexibly and are stored quickly and neatly after use.
The new e-spool flex is available in two versions: a low-cost version with a manual cable winding mechanism, and an automatic solution with a brake and spring return mechanism. The e-spool flex is available in three sizes for cables with diameters from 5 to 11 millimeters and lengths from 5 to 15 meters. In addition to seamless integration with existing cables, igus also offers a complete cable reel option for chainflex cables designed for moving applications.
