The new connectors are characterized by their lightweight, compact size and a patented pull-back barrel system that facilitates cleaning and allows users to restore operational functionality in seconds.
The MIL-DTL-38999-compliant Nemesis SC connectors are blank, flexible, and utilize ITT Cannon's innovative Pogo Pin/Pad & Brakaway technology, increasing the number of mating cycles to 10,000. Furthermore, these devices can be cleaned more than 2,500 times and have 3 A contacts. The initial products are based on the key elements of the MIL-DTL-38999 specification, but a full range of circular and rectangular connectors is planned for production.
Currently, these connectors are available with 7, 14, or 19 pins, five locking positions, and are color-coded for easy identification.
The new Nemesis connectors are completely sealed (IP67 protection rating) in the non-matted state and withstand salt spray for more than 500 hours. Critical for military applications, they weigh less than 25 grams, have a diameter of less than 15 mm, and feature an anti-reflective coating. They comply with the RoHS environmental directive and offer excellent electromagnetic compatibility.
