Nano SIM maintains the same contact arrangement as existing cards while reducing the size of the card's insulator compared to Micro SIM cards. At 0.67 mm thick, Nano-SIM cards are approximately 15% thinner than Mini/Micro SIM cards at 0.76 mm.
Measuring a tiny 11.00 mm x 12.30 mm, the SIM8050 is a push/pull connector with 6 pins and a profile height of 1.45 mm. The connector is rated for 5000 mating cycles and operates at temperatures between -20°C and 80°C. A card brake feature ensures the Nano SIM card is inserted only in the correct orientation, while plastic pins and SMT markings provide additional retention on the PCB.
