The GCT Reverse B allows horizontal Micro USB connectors to be mounted on the top of the PCB, while normal Micro USB connectors are mounted on the bottom of the PCB.
The top-mount connectors accept USB cable connections in the correct orientation with the USB symbol facing upwards. To have this advantage, design customers must allow cutting the PCB to accommodate the space occupied by the cable connection locking points that are mounted on the bottom of the cable connections.
GCT offers two options: USB3100 in pure SMT and USB3135 with drill protection for added strength.
