The 9159 series of robust, two-piece board-to-board (BTB) connectors were originally developed for the harsh environments of solid-state linear lighting (SSL) with coplanar PCB connections. These connectors have been tested for 1000 hours at 125°C, compared to competing products that are only tested at 105°C. Providing 5A of current with a pin count of 2 to 6 positions, the low-profile 9159 series features a gold-plated BeCu contact system that offers higher signal strength and contact integrity than tin-plated contact systems.
The 9159 vertical series offers a connection perpendicular to the PCB, which accommodates a more traditional printed circuit board connection scheme used in standard commercial and industrial applications.
In addition to solid-state lighting accessories, the 9159 2-piece vertical connector series is well-suited for portable applications, including handheld terminals, scanners, instrumentation meters, patient monitoring devices, and industrial electronic modules/controls.
The 9159 series connectors have an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. These connectors are supplied on ribbon and reel and are RoHS compliant.
