The patented rotating rear locking mechanism in the XF series offers several key features and benefits. The rotating lock is independent of the FPC socket, so it won't disengage if the FPC is lifted. Assembly reliability is also improved because the FPC is housed in a four-sided encapsulation that prevents any movement. All but two models in the XF series have dual contacts, eliminating the need to distinguish between the top and bottom contacts when connecting to the upper and lower PCBs. Unlike traditional FPC connectors, XF series interconnects are delivered with the rotating lock open for faster installation.
