Omron's rear locking mechanism for the XF2M and XF3M series offers the advantage of reducing the risk of cable movement lifting the locking mechanism. The rotating lock is independent of the FPC socket and does not release when the FPC is lifted. Assembly reliability is improved by the four-sided housing that secures the FPC, preventing it from shifting. The dual contact design also provides engineers with flexibility, and the applicable FPC/FFC thickness is only 0.3 mm (in the gold-plated version). The range comprises 6- to 60-pin connectors and is supplied on reels of 100 or 1,500 units. The pitch ranges from 0.25 mm to 0.5 mm.
