Innovative design features such as inverted contacts, integrated 90° back shielding, and interchangeable hardware allow the new EMM connector series to combine a robust design with enhanced electrical and environmental performance. Signal contacts from 3A upwards offer a 1.27 mm pitch distance with 1.27 μm gold plating to ensure signal integrity is maintained under high shock and vibration conditions. The devices are rated for up to 45 G of vibration, exceeding EIA 364-28E III and IV test conditions, up to 160 G for shock, exceeding EIA 364-27B G, and with an operating temperature range of -65 to +260 °C, exceeding EIA 364-32D.
Suitable for board-to-board applications (due to their safe pitch) and board-to-wire applications (AWG 24 to 30), EMM connectors are available with any pin selection from 4 to 60 signal contacts. Furthermore, Nicomatic utilizes modular manufacturing technology, ensuring all configurations are available with very fast lead times. Wired versions can be assembled by Nicomatic or by the customer.
