Harting con:card+ connectors for MicroTCA backpanels and daughterboard male connectors for AdvancedMC modules have passed shock and vibration tests without contact interruption according to the MTCA.1 “Rugged Air Cooled” specification.
The Harting con:card+ connector successfully passed the MTCA.3 “Hardened Conduction Cooled” contact test and the 40g shock test specified by MIL-STD-810.
Thanks to the guide spring developed and patented by Harting, the contacts of these connectors remain aligned even under the most adverse conditions, overcoming the physical limitations of these connectors with their millimeter-pitch contacts.
With the results obtained in these tests, Harting contributes to the advancement and development of this new “Rugged Micro TCA” specification from PICMG.
