Molex Flexi-Mate connectors, with a 3.70 mm (0.146”) pitch, allow for secure and firm placement of LEDs on interconnect panels across the entire width of a TV screen or light fixture. The attached height of 3.00 mm (0.118”) provides optimal design flexibility for low-profile applications with limited space requirements. The Flexi-Mate connection system includes coplanar board-to-board connectors for joining small LED panels. The system also includes a wire-to-board connection option for connecting the LED boards to the main power supply board. A termination connector, used as a short-circuiting device, completes an open-loop signal. Currently, the Flexi-Mate connection system is available in a standard two-circuit design. Key features include a dual-contact terminal design for stable electrical contact and robust positive-side locking mechanisms with a reduced space requirement for wire-to-board connectors. A mating guide in the printed circuit board versions enables easy and efficient mating and protects the terminals during mating and unmapping. The Flexi-Mate system is available in low-halogen or halogen-free materials to meet various environmental and market requirements.
