Flexibility and robustness:
The HARTING har-flex range utilizes a new tooling concept that offers maximum flexibility for contact configuration. Based on a 1.27 mm contact spacing, multiple versions are available in sizes from 6 to 100 contacts. The locking clips ensure excellent PCB adhesion and prevent the transmission of any mechanical stress to the SMT termination during component installation and connector connection.
Variety and efficiency:
Straight versions are available in four different stacking heights, for board spacing from 8 mm to 13.8 mm. Furthermore, with elbow and cable connector options, the HARTING har-flex product family offers a wide variety of possible combinations for a broad range of applications. This versatility, combined with high contact density, allows designers to maximize PCB utilization, resulting in overall space savings and increased cost efficiency.
Process Consistency
: Designed for SMT termination, har-flex connectors are supplied on taped reels, compatible with standard pick-and-place processes. The connectors include pick-and-place pads to facilitate fully automated placement on PCBs. Furthermore, they are well-protected during transport and handling, thus meeting even the most demanding processing requirements. Excellent and consistent monitoring of contact coplanarity and the use of high-temperature materials in the insulator body ensure reliable solderability.
