The junction box is pre-connected to the lamination film before the lamination process, eliminating the need for any wiring. This new process is quick, clean, and practical, as silicone adhesive is not required to mount the product to the glass edge. It also eliminates the lengthy and complicated task of connecting the device after lamination, removing any risk of damaging the film. Wiring can be easily connected to the junction box in the operating environment using the slim SOLARLOK connectors.


The SOLARLOK ribbed junction box requires no internal impregnation and takes advantage of its very small dimensions of only 105.8 mm x 15.5 mm x 12.5 mm, thus saving installation space. It is available for 12 A currents in crystalline applications. This device is TÜV approved (according to VDE0126-5) for a voltage of 1000 Vdc to meet the demanding performance requirements of the photovoltaic industry. It offers an ideal pre-connection solution for cell expansion within the module. It will not be available for the American market.


The robust junction box housing is IP67 rated. The slim SOLARLOK connectors incorporate a locking mechanism and are also IP67 rated.
