It provides modular safety control, eliminating the need to completely stop the production line when its configuration is modified or updated. Features such as automatic safety system programming, offline simulation, and online functional testing for verifying safety programs reduce the time from design to safety verification. Furthermore, safety data logging allows even inexperienced workers to identify the cause of an unexpected line stoppage, helping to maximize productivity.
The NX series security network controller consists of:
• NX-SL5500/5700 Security CPU Unit
• NX-CSG320 Communications Control Unit
• NX102-9020 Machine Automation Controller
Features:
1. Two different safety networks in a single safety system to meet customer needs
• The NX series safety network controller, connected to the NX102 machine automation controller, enables the simultaneous use of EtherNet/IP™ + CIP Safety™ and EtherCAT® + FSoE (FailSafe over EtherCAT).
• Safety systems for CIP Safety™ robots from various vendors can be easily developed.
• The NX-SL5700 safety CPU unit provides up to 254 CIP Safety™ connections, enabling the creation of safety systems for large production lines.
• In combination with the NX102 machine automation controller, the NX series safety network controller provides real-time control of up to 12 motors via EtherCAT® and FSoE.
2. Integrated Development Environment “Sysmac Studio” for Rapid Safety Programming
• Automatic programming reduces the programming time for safety controls.
• Offline simulation allows for program verification without a hardware connection.
• Online functional testing provides on-screen instructions from the start of the safety system check during line configuration to report generation, enabling even inexperienced users to analyze safety systems.
3. Easy Maintenance and Quick Troubleshooting
• Safety data logging helps quickly identify the cause of a line stoppage.
• Safety unit restore allows for easy hardware replacement without the need for any software.
An SD card containing the logging configuration is used for safety data logging. When the activation conditions are met, the specified device variables and exposed variables can be logged chronologically and stored on the memory card. This function helps identify the cause of a sudden system stoppage and determine preventive measures.
