The SolarSpec junction box features terminals that connect the base directly to the PV tape conductors, eliminating the need for clamps or clips. The patented Solder Charge™ Technology option facilitates high-speed assembly and eliminates the need for manual tape soldering, significantly reducing process variations. The double-sided adhesive tape option eliminates the time required for silicone curing when bonding the junction box to a module.
The compact size profile is capable of delivering current ratings comparable to larger, traditional products. The SolarSpec junction box comes with two detachable DC cables, available with dual (TÜV and UL) or single (TÜV) certification. The junction box contains bypass diodes to protect the PV panel against reverse currents in dark or shaded conditions, or when covered by leaves or other objects. The junction box assembly houses the diodes and DC wiring in its removable top cover, allowing for easy on-site repair or replacement in case of damage or wear. The top cover and base module are secured by a locking mechanism that prevents accidental exposure of the high-voltage contacts.
The SolarSpec junction box is manufactured in ISO-certified production facilities.
