Reducing terminal disconnections is achieved by ensuring a secure fit and including a secondary locking feature. For example, assemblers cannot close the TPA if it is not properly secured. Furthermore, the connectors are backward compatible with existing Micro-Fit 3.0™ terminals and connectors; therefore, customers do not need to make significant changes or investments to their applications and can implement upgrades by incorporating the new TPA connector.
Micro-Fit TPA single-row connectors are used in household appliances, desktop computers, workstations, power supplies, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), telecommunications and networking equipment (servers, routers, and switches), and automobiles, including commercial vehicles (wiring harnesses, unsealed applications, and interior devices).
