The TE Connectivity field-installable Mini I/O industrial connector features an innovative punch-down termination design that significantly reduces cable termination time and enables easy field assembly using a hand tool. Two contact points provide a highly reliable connection in demanding, high-vibration, and industrial environments, with a polarization interface to prevent incorrect connection. At 11.62 mm x 34 mm x 8.7 mm – only a quarter the size of a conventional RJ45 connector – the field-installable Mini I/O industrial connector saves PCB space and increases design efficiency and flexibility. Available in different versions for multiple applications, including industrial controls, robotics, Ethernet, and industrial control units, it allows wire-to-wire connections and is interchangeable with TMT, SMT, right-angle, and straight receptacles.
The interconnect has a pitch of 0.635 mm, 8 positions, and a nominal current of 0.5 A at 30 V. Operating temperature ranges from +85°C to -40°C. Latch holding force is 98 N (10 kg). Contacts and parts are made of copper alloy with thermoplastic housings.
