They offer excellent contact and feature an advanced card retention mechanism to prevent accidental detachment. Push-pull versions of the holders provide short-circuit and reverse polarity protection. A new card tray design provides a secure hold and simplifies insertion and removal.
Measuring 12 mm x 15 mm, the push-pull micro-SIM card connectors are 52% smaller than those of the previous Mini-SIM card (15 mm x 25 mm). Available in heights of 1.35 mm, 1.40 mm, and 1.45 mm, the push-pull micro-SIM card holders offer the same space savings and higher contact forces. They also feature a large finger area on the housing for easy insertion and removal of a micro-SIM card. Currently, this is the only micro-SIM tray design on the market that does not require a tool for card removal. The Molex micro-SIM card holder is easy to use and remove, and features a secure locking mechanism to prevent it from flying out.
The three new types of Molex micro-SIM card holders are characterized by a smaller footprint, a lower profile, high normal contact force (0.30 N), and exceptional reliability. Advanced polarization features help prevent incorrect card insertion.
Available as standard with 6 circuits and optionally with 8 circuits, all versions of the micro-SIM card holders are halogen- and lead-free, RoHS compliant, and ELV certified.
