FCI has developed a 19-pin Type D HDMI (Micro HDMI) connector, ideal for consumer electronics applications. Micro HDMI has been widely used in smartphones, digital cameras, laptops, and multimedia devices to combine high-definition video and multichannel audio into a single digital interface.
Compared to HDMI Type A, B, C, and E connectors, the new HDMI Type D is an extremely small and highly reliable connector that meets the physical, electrical, and environmental requirements of the HDMI standard. This FCI micro HDMI connector can handle video signals up to 1080p, providing state-of-the-art high-definition resolution to handheld devices and, like other HDMI connectors, has a total of 19 pins. This connector is one of the best options for next-generation PCB design for compact audio/video data, targeting HDMI Rev. 1.4 and 3D signal transmission.
The connector has demonstrated a durability of 5,000 cycles. Passive locking technology prevents unintentional cable release. FCI also offers a Type A HDMI receptacle cable (10029449-111RLF) to allow the connection of Type A HDMI and Type D connectors to a host system.
