Harting's har-speed M12 connectors meet the requirements profiles stipulated by Cat.6A
Harting 's new har-speed M12 connectors meet the requirements specified by Cat. 6A. For the first time, an M12-based cabling system can be deployed in scenarios with higher data transmission performance.
The new connector is ideal for high-bandwidth applications in machine and plant engineering, where fast and secure data transmissions beyond Cat. 5 are increasingly required.
This new development is based on the new PAS 61076-2-10x standard, which defines a uniform connection face for 8-pin M12 connectors. The new connection face addresses two essential aspects: shielding on the connector (shielded pairs) and coding on the mating.
Harting's new 8-pin M12 product family includes crimp versions for secure field assembly and overmolded cables in multiple lengths.
