The requirements for industrial machinery and production plants under adverse protection conditions are constantly increasing. In response to this challenge, icotek has developed the new KVT-ER, the world's first split cable gland with certified IP ratings of IP65, IP66, IP67, and IP68. It also boasts NEMA Type 12 and Type 4X certifications, as well as ECOLAB approval.
The new KVT-ER family of circular cable glands are split glands that allow the insertion of pre-connected or pre-wired cables. The cable diameter range for this solution is from 1 to 35 mm. Thanks to the stainless steel screw clamping of the two frame pieces, high pressure is applied to the inserts, ensuring a tight seal and tensile strength according to DIN EN 62444. The KVT-ER is based on standard metric cutouts such as M32, M50, and M63. Due to the watertightness of the elastomer integrated into the frame, no additional rubber gasket is required for assembly and the hex nut is included in the supply for easier installation.
