The main new features are the new rounded designs and integrated nuts, as well as the expanded range of available models. The advantages of the first generation of KEL-FG cable glands remain: the ability to handle pre-connected cables, tensile strength according to EN62444, IP54 protection rating, and 90° angled cable entry. All of this makes it a unique product on the market.
The KEL-FG family includes new flat models with a single row of inserts, ranging from 3 to 5 (sizes KEL-FG3 to KEL-FG5). The mounting hole dimensions for a 3-insert model are 24 x 65 mm. These flat models are ideal for space-constrained applications such as operator panels and industrial PCs. The inserts can accommodate cables up to 17 mm in diameter. Inserts are also available for two (up to 8 mm in diameter) and four (up to 6 mm in diameter) cables. Using pre-connectorized cables reduces assembly time and preserves cable certification by eliminating the need for on-site cable assembly, testing, and certification.
