RFT technology consists of a unique polymer spring that reinforces the connector pins and improves their resistance to stress and damage. This significantly contributes to extending the lifespan of the connectors (and the network) and saving time and money on repairs.

After the insertion of a four- or six-pin connector or any other foreign object, RFT helps the connector pins return to their original position and protects them from long-term damage.
In Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications, Leviton's new technology maintains the force between the male and female connectors, thus preventing electrical arcing that can occur due to intermittent disconnections caused by vibrations or operational movement.

RFT technology is available for the following connectors, all of which are marketed by COFITEL:
• Unshielded QuickPort Atlas-X1 connectors 6AUJK-R*6 (CAT 6A), 61UJK-R*6 (CAT 6) and 5EUJK-R*5 (CAT 5E)
• Unshielded shuttered QuickPort Atlas-X1 connectors 6AUJK-S*6 (CAT 6A), 61UJK-S*6 (CAT 6) and 5EUJK-S*5 (CAT 5E)
• Shielded QuickPort Atlas-X1 connectors 81SJK-R†8 (CAT 8), 6ASJK-R*6 (CAT 6A) and 61SJK-R*6 (CAT 6)
• Shuttered QuickPort Atlas-X1 connector 6ASJK-S*6 (CAT 6A) 6A) and 61SJK-S*6 (CAT 6)
• QuickPort QuickPort eXtreme unshielded connector 6110G-R*6 (CAT 6A), 61110-R*6 (CAT 6) and 5G110-R*5 (CAT 5E)
