With its new LineRunner-IS-3200 systems, KEYMILE expands its range of solutions for data transmission over optical Ethernet networks in mission-critical environments. Potential users include oil and gas pipeline operators, railway companies, and energy providers requiring highly reliable data transmission over Ethernet networks. Typical examples include IP video surveillance, VoIP telephony and intranet connections at manned surveillance stations, or sensors capturing mission-critical data. Because the LineRunner-IS-3200 systems support the Media-Redundancy Protocol (MRP), very fast switching is possible in the event of a line outage. Simultaneously, particularly sensitive data can be copied using the Zero-Loss redundancy function, ensuring no packet loss—even if topology changes occur.
The LineRunner-IS-3200 industrial switches are designed for use in harsh environments with extreme ambient temperatures. They excel in terms of maximum reliability, ease of use and maintenance, low power consumption, long service life, and are therefore future-proof. Thanks to their compact and robust design without ventilation slots, the industrial switches can be mounted on a DIN rail, in an outdoor enclosure, or directly on a wall. Power-over-Ethernet modules can be added as an option, allowing connected Ethernet terminal equipment to also be powered. This enables customized adaptation to various mission-critical scenarios. SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable) optical interfaces allow for flexible system deployment, even for transmissions exceeding 100 kilometers. With suitable SFP modules, the interfaces can be adapted to the required speeds, such as Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet. I/O contacts allow for the forwarding of alarms or switching states from external devices, such as remote control systems. The LineRunner ES-3200 supports various topologies, such as ring, chain, and mesh networks, and is available in 10 and 16 port versions.
