The D-Link DGS-1510 family of switches has been designed to provide flexibility, scalability, and optimal performance for business environments that need 10 Gigabit bandwidth or require interconnections with the core of their network without creating bottlenecks.
The DGS-1510 series features Level 3 static routing capabilities, is stackable up to 6 units, and comes in 16, 24, and 48-port 10/100/1000Mbps versions, including two Gigabit SFP ports and between two and four 10G SFP+ ports, as well as a 24-port Power over Ethernet (PoE) model that offers up to 30W of power per port for businesses that want to power compatible IP devices (phones, video surveillance cameras, wireless access points, etc.) through the network cable.
The inclusion of 10G SFP+ ports makes these switches ideal for core network deployments in enterprises with high bandwidth demands for data replication and backup, IP video surveillance, video on demand, and server virtualization. A 10G network core also ensures future-proof network capacity, which is important given the increasing use of mobile devices in the workplace and the rise of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). For deployments in medium and large enterprises, the DGS-1510 series can serve as a perfect aggregate at the network edge.
In addition, this new series of Switches supports physical stacking (40Gb) of up to 6 units per stack to create a high-density, fault-tolerant network solution with redundant ring configurations.
The DGS-1510 family offers a range of features including extensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 traffic management functions, static routing, Auto Surveillance VLAN, Auto Voice VLAN, IPv6 Management, Loopback detection, Configurable MDI/MDIX, QoS, bandwidth control, and multiple power-saving options with D-Link Green 3.0 technology (compatible with IEEE 802.3az standard) such as port scheduling to disconnect unused ports, etc. It also features advanced security, including IP-MAC-Port binding, L2/3/4 ACLs, and ARP spoofing prevention to protect the network from malicious attacks and unauthorized access.
Configuration is performed using D-Link Network Assistant (DNA) software, which significantly simplifies switch installation by grouping essential functions into an intuitive menu. DNA software also allows you to configure D-Link access points, storage units, and video surveillance cameras for maximum synergy in managing a unified solutions environment. Furthermore, the web-based user interface provides easy access to the configuration pages.
