Two variants are available: one with 16 twisted-pair ports and one with 14 twisted-pair ports and two 100BaseFX fiber optic ports. The fiber optic ports are available in both multimode and single-mode models. With a wider operating temperature range (-40°C to 70°C), the 16-port devices are particularly well-suited for use in harsh environments.Their low-profile design allows the switches to be installed in flat enclosures and used in decentralized networks. They are optimized for applications using the Profinet RT and EtherNet/IP protocols. As Profinet I/O devices, they are configured by the control system, and in EtherNet/IP networks, they offer enhanced multicast filtering. The Profinet or EtherNet/IP operating modes can be easily activated during installation using the Smart button. With the RSTP, MRP, and Fast Ring Detection protocols, redundant universal network structures can be created, if desired, with reduced switching intervals. The devices can be easily replaced thanks to the detachable configuration connector.
