Effective January 1, 2019, the Phoenix Contact Group will assume control of two SKS Group companies: SKS Kontakttechnik GmbH and Pulsotronic GmbH & Co KG. Both companies are headquartered in Niederdorf, in the Erzgebirge Mountains. SKS Kontakttechnik offers electrotechnical components and systems. Pulsotronic is a manufacturer of customized sensor solutions.

During the summer months, IFEMA has undertaken the complete renovation of its Wi-Fi infrastructure, with installation scheduled for completion this September.

Sterlite Tech has announced the signing of definitive agreements for the acquisition of a European manufacturer specializing in optical cable, headquartered in Italy.
Sterlite Tech, through its wholly owned Italian subsidiary Sterlite Technologies SpA, will acquire 100% of the shares of Metallurgica Bresciana SpA (Metallurgica).

Advantech has announced the creation of IIoT Solution Ready Packages (SRPs) for Industrial IoT, packaged and ready-to-use solutions, under its "Co-Creation" model, which involves collaboration with domestic and international companies. Thirty SRP packages will be officially launched this year and announced at the "Co-Creation IoT" summit with 6,000 participants, and at a press conference on November 1st and 2nd in Suzhou, China

Radiotrans will be responsible for distributing video surveillance and access control systems and solutions throughout Spain for the Canadian company, Avigilon. With this addition, Radiotrans becomes a strategic partner in the Spanish market for Avigilon, a company acquired by Motorola Solutions, which designs, develops, and manufactures software and hardware for video surveillance systems and access control solutions.

VIAVI Solutions has released the results of its 11th annual State of the Network global study. The findings reveal that a significant portion of corporate IT teams are uncertain about how to handle the challenges of cloud migration. The annual study was compiled from the opinions of more than 600 respondents, including network engineers, IT directors, and CIOs from around the world. The study is now available for download.
