The COFITEL Group presents the Leviton Brand-Rex Fire Survival Unitube Cable, a single-tube cable with up to 24 optical fibers that exceeds IEC 60331/25:1999 flammability tests by maintaining circuit integrity under flame. This compact model is ideal for locations where data transmission must continue even in the event of a fire, such as in building security and management systems.
The Brand-Rex Fire Survival Unitube Cable, which is color-coded according to TIA-598-D, has between two and twenty-four optical fibers in single-mode, multi-mode, and hybrid versions to suit the needs of a wide variety of applications.
Its structure consists of a loose-fitting gel-filled tube (to prevent water from entering – IEC 60794-1-22-F5C), armor with fiberglass yarn reinforcement, a layer of flame-retardant tapes and corrugated steel armor (to increase resistance to crushing – 2500 N, impact – 30 Nm and rodents) in a double-layered, red-colored design that provides additional mechanical and flame protection.
The cable has a diameter of 13.45 mm, while the tube has a diameter of 4 mm. The operating temperature range is from -20 to +60 °C.
