QFCI cables with mica tape as a fire protection element in each tube guarantee operation for three hours at 1000 °C, while SWA units with steel wire crown armor offer the most effective rodent repellent.
QFCI
These multitube cables with a capacity of up to 48 optical fibers consist of a central element, up to four loose tubes with mica tape, WB reinforced glass fibers (water blocking), rip cords, galvanized steel braid armor and black LSZH (inner and outer) jackets.
Apart from fire protection, QFCI cables also provide excellent resistance to moisture, sunlight, mineral oils, and diesel.
Free from halogens and flame retardant, they are especially suitable for emergency systems, marine and offshore applications, boats and ships and a multitude of hostile environments.
Furthermore, they comply with international standards NEK606:2016 type F1001 and are approved by DNV.
SWA
These multi-tube metal armored cables with a capacity of up to 144 optical fibers contain a central element, gel-filled tubes, WB-reinforced glass fibers as tensile elements, rip cords, metal armor (steel wire crown) and black LSZH (inner and outer) jackets.
Options include PVC, PE and PA covers, special color coding (TIA 598) and dry (gel-free) tubes.
The SWA range with excellent rodent resistance is also halogen-free and has minimal smoke emission.
The possible uses for these Euroclass Eca cables include universal applications (indoor/outdoor), direct burial and marine platforms, among many others.
