The new FDH36 features a robust, all-metal turret design with a square base flange. The flange has mounting holes at each corner and is designed to bolt securely to the bulkhead, ensuring a robust and secure attachment. In addition to offering greater physical strength than plastic housings, the FDH36's metal construction also helps detect radio frequency interference.
According to OMC Commercial Director William Heath, “The FDH36 is the latest addition to our proprietary range of precision-machined, all-metal fiber optic components designed to interface with industry standards while delivering the consistency, longevity, and robustness required for industrial, transportation, and other demanding applications. Our new FDH36 robust bulkhead housing with ST connector can accommodate our full range of Tx and Rx diodes, helps resist vibration, and is ideal where links need to allow for multiple connect and disconnect cycles.” Heath adds, “By designing and manufacturing our fiber optic transmitters, receivers, and connectors in-house, we accept customization requests and can deliver parts tailored to each customer’s specific needs.”.
OMC's fiber optic systems are used in train braking systems; military radar systems; engine monitoring systems; automotive crash destructive testing; machine vision in robotics; data transmission in CNC machinery in industrial applications; gasoline pump control systems in service stations and many other applications in multiple industry sectors.
