The 70S fusion splicer is the latest addition to Fujikura's range of fusion splicers and has been specifically designed to be more ergonomic, faster and longer lasting than the FSM-60S, reducing splicing time to just seven seconds.
Its robust design adds enhanced reliability through shock, rain, and dust resistance, allowing it to withstand a 30-inch (76.2 cm) drop test on six sides. Two of the newest features include an automatic windscreen and a tube heater developed for fast splicing cycles and reduced operating steps. The unit also includes a high-resolution LCD monitor, a Li-ion battery for extended runtime, and integrated videos for on-site training.
The 70S fusion splicer also features a redesigned case that doubles as a worktable to expedite splice preparation on the go. A worktable is included in the standard package, a new feature for this device.
This is the second fusion splicer that Fujikura has launched this year, after announcing the launch of the 12S, the world's smallest splicer designed specifically for installation in small spaces.
