This handheld fusion splicer achieves typical splicing losses of 0.05 dB for single-mode fibers and 0.03 dB for multimode fibers. It offers high precision thanks to two micro-cameras that optimize fiber alignment and provide an estimated splice attenuation. This entire process can be viewed on the adjustable-angle, 2” anti-glare LCD color monitor.
X and Y axis alignment is highly efficient and is performed automatically, cladding-to-clad, in just 11 seconds.
The T-25eS-LC fusion splicer can charge its battery while operating. Its battery has been technically improved, allowing for up to 60 complete fusion processes (fusion + oven) on a single charge.
This device continues SUMITOMO's mission focused on reducing processing times. Thanks to its cutting-edge engineering, the fusion process takes only 11 seconds, and the complete cycle (fusion + oven) takes just [time missing].
Its robust and highly durable design makes it ideal for outside plant applications. Its speed and maximum field resistance make it ideal for FTTH fiber-to-the-home installations, cable television, industrial networks, and local area networks.
All SUMITOMO fusion splicers are approved by Telefónica and most telecommunications operators worldwide. worldwide. They also use the same electrodes in all models available from Fibercom, thus avoiding inventory costs and errors in ordering materials.
The SUMITOMO T-25-LC PROFESSIONAL fusion splicer kit includes the splicer, a set of ER-10 electrodes, an AC/DC power transformer, an AC power cable, a hard carrying case, a V-grooves cleaning pen, a neck strap, a rechargeable battery, an FC-7M-F8 high-precision cutter, a tube of fiber wipes, and a bottle of cleaning fluid.

AFL launches the new Fujikura 12S fusion splicer.
AFL introduces the new Fujikura 12S fusion splicer, the world's smallest, lightest, and most portable. Measuring just 12.09cm wide x 16.20cm deep x 5.69cm high, the feature-rich 12S splicer is designed to increase field efficiency. -
Power arc calibration for fusion of optical fibers with various diameters (and Part 2)
This article describes a new arc calibration method for a wide range of fiber sizes. This method heats the fiber with multiple short arcs of varying arc power. The melting point is then measured at the corner of the fiber ends instead of along the fiber axis.
