Technicians installing VDSL2 and ADSL2+ services in the field will greatly benefit from the rugged platform, designed for outdoor plant environments, and the automated testing capabilities of these test suites. The MAX-605 and MAX-625 were designed to qualify copper and DSL services, while also ensuring compliance through the service provider's field teams and with contractors.

Key features of the MAX-625 include a DSL modem for qualifying ADSL2+/VDSL2 and certified services, enabling technicians to verify circuit quality before activating services. The new MAX-625 also performs IP testing to validate key performance indicators for IPTV data and VoIP services. The user-friendly interface and pass/fail test result indicators empower technicians to complete jobs quickly and efficiently. The large, color display further enhances the intuitive and user-friendly approach to test suites. Additionally, these devices offer various connectivity options for uploading tests and compiling reports, simplifying integration with workflow processes.

“The launch of the MAX-605 and MAX-625 makes our portfolio of value-added testing solutions for copper/DSL technologies the most comprehensive in the world,” said Stephane Chabot, Vice President of EXFO’s Physical Layer Testing Division. “These new test suites, along with the recently launched MAX-635G tester for G.fast, VDSL2, and ADSL2+ services (the first G.fast tester available on the market), mean we now have a unique market position by covering the entire spectrum of access testing applications, while providing intelligence and automation without the need for a chairperson to make testing simpler and faster.”.
