The new microscope, which follows the Inspect Before You Connect (IBYC) approach, provides Fiber Smart capabilities. Professionals only need to perform four steps: locate the fiber, focus, analyze the connector ends, and record the results.
FiberChek can be used as a standalone microscope or connected to other Viavi test devices via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB. The new model is compatible with the SmartClass™ Fiber, T-BERD®/MTS, OneExpert™ (ONX), CellAdvisor®, Certifier40G™, and MP-60 families (optical power meters), as well as with iOS and Android mobile apps.
This probe microscope features a touchscreen that displays inspection images, thus streamlining the process and ensuring compliance with the criteria of various standards, such as IEC-61300-3-35.
Therefore, technicians only need to press a button to perform a complete fiber optic analysis, with the ability to store the results on the instrument itself or export them to other equipment for later customer reports, for example.
