Under normal conditions, high losses in trace data through the splitter can compromise the accuracy of the measurements, but with the PON-OTDR good measurement quality is ensured.

Three models of the AQ7275 are available to support wavelengths of 1310, 1550, and 1625 nm, enabling use in both installation and maintenance. A filter option for the 1625 nm version allows for direct online optical network testing in repair and troubleshooting applications.

A real-time mode function offers rapid testing capabilities, making it easy to assess the PON network condition in as little as one second. It also allows for changing parameters such as wavelength, distance, and pulse width during real-time operation.
All AQ7275 PON-OTDR models offer a dynamic range of 40 dB.
