The MC100CM supports long-wavelength (LX) laser specifications for maximum wired transmission speed. It operates at 1310nm for both data transmission and reception.
Other features of this module include the ability to be used as a standalone device (no chassis required) or with a TP-LINK 19" chassis system, MDI/MDI-X auto-configuration for the TX port, and a front panel with status LEDs. The MC100CM will transmit over long distances using multimode fiber, up to 2 kilometers.
100BASE-FX Fiber to 100Base-TX Copper Media Converter
The MC100CM is a media converter designed to convert 100BASE-FX fiber to 100Base-TX copper or vice versa. Designed to comply with IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards, the MC100CM is designed for use with multi-mode fiber optic cable using an SC-Type connector.
